On campus accommodation options

Murdoch University Village is a friendly residential community, conveniently located right on the University’s main campus.  Classrooms, lecture theatres, the library and other University facilities are just a five minute walk away.

Due to overwhelming demand, Murdoch University Village is set to unveil almost 300 brand new rooms in time for semester 1, 2009. A range of modern, fully furnished one, two and five bedroom apartments will be available, with private bedrooms, large kitchens and spacious lounge areas. Contemporary design, high quality fittings, in-room internet and apartment heating provide functional and vibrant spaces designed specifically for the student lifestyle. The Village’s existing apartments are available in one to eight bedroom configurations, with the choice of single, double, deluxe and ensuite rooms. All apartments are fully furnished, equipped with basic cooking utensils and have communal kitchens, lounges and bathrooms.

Catering for an active student lifestyle, the Village’s facilities include social and study spaces such as a resource centre, meeting rooms, recreation room [with Foxtel and a pool table], beach volleyball and basketball courts, and a brand new swimming pool.

In addition, an extensive Student Life Programme provides regular academic, cultural, recreational and social activities throughout the year, to maintain the refreshing communal atmosphere that makes Murdoch University Village unique.

In 2009, the Village will have over 830 students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Village life will be a lifelong learning experience - a chance to make new friends, to take on responsibilities and to learn what it is to be independent [with people always close by to offer help and assistance]. According to many of our graduates, living at Murdoch University Village was an indispensable element of their University experience.

2009 Residential Fees

Other fees include a Residential Services fee of $165, a weekly utilities fee of $8.25 AUSD and a refundable Security Deposit of $300.
